They serve the institution as official ambassadors at university events, such as commencement and convocation.

Biographical and Historical Note

Faculty Marshals are senior members of the faculty who are nominated by the academic deans based on their outstanding service to the institution and excellence in teaching. They serve the institution as official ambassadors at University events, such as commencement and convocation. They assist with planning portions of academic events, as well as assisting during events to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for guests. Multiple Faculty Marshals serve each year, typically a group of five with one Faculty Marshal serving as the lead.
