Biographical and Historical Note

WFU's Staff Advisory Council was founded in 2006 to strengthen communication among all levels of staff and administration. The Council is responsible for conveying the ideas, concerns, and suggestions of staff to the university administration, advising the President on subjects that impact staff, and informing staff of issues and policies. Additionally, it partners with local nonprofits for philanthropic endeavors, coordinates Staff Appreciation Picnic, and its website acts as a bulletin for recent University news and meeting minutes. SAC members are elected each spring, with their term beginning the following academic year and lasting for three years. To be elected, a staff member must be a full-time employee, have completed one year of service before the start of the next fiscal year, and are in good standing. Membership is divided into 8 divisions, the Appointees, Academic Schools (the Undergraduate College, Graduate School, School of Business, School of Divinity, School of Law, and School of Professional Studies), Administration, Advancement and Enrollment, Athletics, Campus Life, Facilities, Campus, and Auxiliary Services, and the Provost.
