- D.A. Glenn was born July 24, 1852 in Surry County, North Carolina. He attended Wake Forest College, 1873-79. After his ordination July 27, 1876, he served Baptist churches in North Carolina, Virginia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. He died April 15, 1930.
- Henry Nathan Blanchard was a Wake Forest College alumnus (1909) and a Chaplain in the U.S. Army. This collection contains article typescripts, sermons, and biographical information, particularly relating to Blanchard's work as an Army chaplain.
- Hubert McNeill Poteat (1886-1958) was an alumnus of (1906) and Wake Forest College professor of Latin and head of the Classics Department (1912-1956). He was also an author, organist, and a member of the Sudan Temple of the Shrine. This collection reflects Poteat's personal and professional interests, including copies of his writings and speeches, a photograph, a notebook (circa 1907), and excerpts of Mrs. Wilma Parrish's journal describing Poteat's funeral in 1958.
- Samuel Ruffin Horne attended Wake Forest College, 1859-1861. He was later a planter and merchant in Johnston County, North Carolina. This item displays Horne's grades from Wake Forest College as of June 1, 1861, with a note regarding the formation of a military department the next semester.
- Goebel was an alumnus of Wake Forest College, a professor of history and political science, and an archivist with the National Archives and Records Service. The collection contains biographical information, correspondence with his mother and family friends, research and notes regarding the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the textile industry, and student papers.
