- Music manuscripts and theatrical memorabilia of Gertrude and Max Hoffmann, famous vaudevillian and performing arts figures. Gertrude Hoffmann was known as a vaudevillian, mimic, dancer, and the director of The Gertrude Hoffmann Girls. Max, one of the first arrangers to use ragtime rhythm, was a composer and musical director. The collection (1900-1956) includes music manuscripts, programs, photographs, playbills, notebooks, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks.
- Sheet music is printed music, used to direct the playing of instruments, singing, or other forms of performance. This collections contains about 18 sheet music booklets, including religious music, "Song Hits from Brigadoon," and "Music of the Ethiopean Serenaders." The collection also includes a series of parts for Sherwood Shaffer's "Songs of Theano," that was commissioned by the University to dedicate the Scales Fine Arts Center.
