Biographical and Historical Note
Memorial Baptist Church was constituted in 1827 as Greenville Baptist Church and was renamed Memorial Baptist Church in 1915. Memorial Baptist Church has been a member of the Neuse I [E] (1826-1843); Union I [E] (1844-1852); Pamlico I [E] (1851-1874); Tar River (1874-1907); Roanoke [E] (1908-1955); and the South Roanoke (1955-present) Baptist Associations.
