      <p>This collection includes records from Hamer Creek Baptist Church, May 5, 1861, to November 1873, and from the reorganization of the church as Mount Gilead First Baptist Church, December 25, 1875, to 1971. Material types include a constitution, articles of faith, rules of decorum, meeting minutes, financial notes, and male, female, and black membership rolls. Reel 1 includes records for an unrelated church in Georgia. Reel 4 is a duplicate of material on Reel 1 and Reel 2. Items are listed in order of appearance on reels.</p>
