Biographical and Historical Note
Church constituted January 13, 1810 as Meadow Branch Baptist Church. It was reorganized October 22, 1835. Name changed to Wingate Baptist Church on September 20, 1931. The church has been a member of Moriah (S.C.), Brown Creek and Union Baptist associations.
Collection Overview
Records consist of minutes of church conferences from October 22, 1835 to November 1981; membership records, 1943-1948?; Sunday School records, 1943-1949, and Woman's Missionary Society records, 1909-1956.
