      <p>Church constituted January 13, 1810 as Meadow Branch Baptist Church. It was reorganized October 22, 1835. Name changed to Wingate Baptist Church on September 20, 1931. The church has been a member of Moriah (S.C.), Brown Creek and Union Baptist associations.</p>
