Biographical and Historical Note
Pine Fork Baptist Church is located 3 miles southwest of Whitehead on Highway #18, Alleghany County, North Carolina. The church was constituted in October, 1898. The first building, 1898-1950, was a one-room frame structure, 28' x 40', with a seating capacity of 200. It was dedicated in 1898 and repaired in 1925. A brick structure was built in 1950. The first resident clergyman was Reverend Calie Blevins, 1899. Church membership in 1899, 29; 1909, 38; 1919, 43; 1930, 23; 1938, 32; and in 1963, 82.

Reel 1: Church Minute Book, volume 1, 1898-1964: contains irregular minutes of church conferences from October 1898 - February 1964; constitution, October 6, 1898; membership roll. Many minutes are missing: 1922, 1924-1925, 1927-1934; and portions of 1923 and 1926.
