Biographical and Historical Note
Wake Forest University's Office of Residence Life and Housing manages student residential experiences through efforts in creating a community with emphasis on development and integrated learning. Students are guaranteed housing all four years of their education and required to live on campus for the first three years. There are three living communities on campus: South campus for first-year students, and the Quad and North area housing areas for upper class students. Residence life and housing oversees housing accomdations, the Deacon One Card office that issues campus identification cards, and other facets of community living at Wake Forest University.
