      <head>Historical Note</head>
      <p>The Delphi Society was one of Wake Forest's local women's societies that existed on campus before the first sorority, the historically Black organization Delta Sigma Theta, came to Wake in 1988. Delphi Society was created in 1985 by women students Lisa Bell, Catherine Hancock, and Heidi Klug. As the sorority grew, they received a charter from the national chapter of Delta Gamma Fraternity and became the Zeta Tau chapter in 1993. A member of the Panhellenic Council, Delta Gamma dissolved in 1998 when they had trouble recruiting enough members.</p>
