- Dr. David L. Smiley was a Wake Forest University history professor and noted Reid Staton Bible Class leader for the Wake Forest Baptist Church (Winston-Salem, N.C.). The collection (1940s-2005) includes correspondence, manuscripts, speeches, Wake Forest class lectures, notes and research, research on Cassius M. Clay, sermons and prayers, recordings of guest speakers from the WFU Pastor's School, recordings of Smiley's Reid Staton Bible class lectures, biographical materials, and awards.

- Germaine Brée was a scholar specializing in 20th Century modern French literature, acting as WFU Kenan Professor of Humanities from 1973 to 1985. She lectured and wrote on writers such as André Gide, Jean-Paul Sartre, Marcel Proust, Marguerite Duras, Samuel Beckett, and Albert Camus. This collection contains writings, research, administrative materials, personal materials, travel materials, and correspondence.
- Dr. John Allen Easley was a Baptist pastor for the U.S. Army and in South Carolina and Kentucky. He served as Chaplain (1928-1938) and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Religion (1938-1963) at Wake Forest College. His papers include biographical information, genealogical information on the Easley and Robertson families, correspondence, financial and legal documents, sermon notes and notebooks, travel journals, writings, Wake Forest College lecture, teaching, and administrative files, and subject files.
- The Maya Angelou Film and Theater Collection documents the author and poet's extensive work in the performing arts. The collection contains materials relating to Angelou's work as a playwright, actor, director, screenwriter, interviewer, and documentary filmmaker. Formats include manuscript, print, audio, and video.
- Nathan Taylor Dodson was a professor of Physical Education at Wake Forest University (1957-1969). His papers contain biographical information; educational files; publications (books and articles); general files; and subject files relating to his activities as an advisor to the N.C. State Board of Education and State Department of Education; his work as a physical education professor at Wake Forest University; and his activities as a Vice President for physical education in the American Association of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and its Southern Division; the N.C. Recreation Commission and Society; and the Society of State Directors of Physical Education.
