Current Periodicals

Current Periodicals, including the last year of scholarly journals or the last 10-15 issues of popular weekly titles, are located on the 4th floor of the Wilson wing. Current Chemistry periodicals are located in the Chemistry Reading Room in Salem Hall. Current Physics journals are located in Olin Hall.

All the current newspapers (state, national, and foreign) are shelved alphabetically in the Newspaper shelf in the Allen Mandelbaum Reading Room. Newspapers are kept for up to two weeks in this shelf.

The back issues of the more important newspapers (state, national, and foreign) are held in the Microtext collection, first in paper and then later in microfilm. Some titles, like the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal are now also available online from Proquest Historic Newspapers.

Government Documents

The Government Documents Collection provides access to print and electronic copies of documents produced by the United States government and by the state of North Carolina. The Government Documents Collection is located on the 4th floor in the Reynolds wing.
