Find a Film

There are 3 ways to locate a film in our collection:

  1. All of the Media Collection's films are listed in the online catalog. To search for a film, use the Title search and, under Quick Limits below the search field, select Videorecordings.
  2. We also have a web search that allows you to search by title, language, keyword or year.

Media Collection Policies

Updated: Media Collection Policies

The majority of the ZSR Media Collection comes from academic departmental budgets. Departments who need films for a class can order them through their library representative, just as they would a book. We have compiled a list of film sources to assist departments in finding films. There is also a small budget each year that we use to fill out our collection with popular movies, award winners, and other films that slip through the cracks. If you would like to suggest a film for purchase, please see our online suggestion form.

All of our films can be checked out by WFU students, faculty, and staff with a WFU ID Card. There is a 3-day loan period.

Films can be placed on Reserve by instructors, and these films will be available from the Reserve Desk. Students can view these films at one of the Information Technology Center's media viewing stations, the Screening Room or in the four Study Rooms across from the Circulation Desk.
