Spaces & Places

ZSR has significantly fewer study spaces than usual in order to comply with campus guidelines on social distancing and room capacity. We have done our best to create as many spots as possible throughout the building and have created both open study areas and individual study spots throughout the building.

In all cases, whenever students are studying in spaces in the library, all should utilize the sanitizing wipe dispensers located throughout the library to sanitize the spaces before and after use. Please dispose of used sanitizing wipes in trash receptacles.

Open Study Areas

The following open study spaces in the building have been configured for socially distanced study with individual tables:

  • ZSR Library Atrium
  • Mandlebaum Study Room (Wilson Wing, 4th Floor)
  • Scholars Commons and Ammons Gallery (Reynolds Wing, 4th Floor)
  • Room 601 (Reynolds Wing 6th floor)

Individual Study Areas

Many of the individual study spots in the Reynolds Wing floors 5-8 are still available as are spots in the Wilson Wing 1st and 4th floors.

Study carrels and study rooms have been made reservable. You will reserve them using our online reservation system and pick up your key from the main Circulation desk to access the carrel. Reservations are for 2-hours maximum per student per day.

Classroom 204 now has seating for 12 students and Classroom 476 has seating for 10. These classrooms will be open for student study after teaching is done for the day.
