• Arts and Humanities Citation Index

  Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) indexes over 1,100 journals in the arts and humanities including architecture, art, Asian studies, classics, history, languages, linguistics, literature, music, philosophy, and theater. AHCI provides bibliographic data, author abstracts, and cited references and is very useful for searching for articles that cite a known author or work (citation searching). Citation searching also allows you to use a given work as a subject term in order to identify more recent articles about the same topic. Coverage: 1975-.

• JSTOR

  A full-text database of archived issues of academic journals. Since JSTOR is a backfiles project, a typical coverage range is the beginning of a journal until three or five years ago. Supported in part by the Dail Endowment Fund. Coverage: Varies.

• MasterFILE Complete

  "Contains abstracts and indexing for more than 3,100 magazines, newspapers and journals. Full text is available for over 1500 periodicals. Subjects covered include general reference, business, health, literature, current events, and more. It includes Magill Books Reviews in fulltext." Coverage: indexing 1984- ; full-text 1990-.

• Project MUSE

  Provides access to the full text of over 100 scholarly journals in the arts and humanities and social sciences. Coverage: Varies.

• ProQuest

  Contains articles covering the humanities, social sciences, sciences, and business. Databases include Research Library, Ethnic NewsWatch, and ProQuest Religion. Coverage: 1970-.

• Readers' Guide Retrospective

  Indexes general interest magazines covering most of the 20th century. Coverage: 1890-1982.

• Research Library

  Contains articles from magazines, newspapers, and journals. Areas included: business, health, education, psychology, science, sports, and literature. Coverage: 1986-.

• SAGE Journals

  Online access to over 600 peer-reviewed journals published by SAGE, including journals published on behalf of over 245 scholarly and professional societies. Covers a variety of topics, with particular emphasis on the social sciences. Coverage: varies.

• TOPICsearch

  A current events database that allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries, and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms, including controversial opinions and viewpoints. Includes periodicals, biographies, public opinion polls, book reviews, pamphlets, and government information.

• Web of Science

  Contains three ISI Citation Databases (Science Citation Index, Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Social Sciences Citation Index), which together index over 8,000 peer-reviewed journals. Provides bibliographic data, author abstracts, and cited references. Useful for searching databases for articles that cite a known author or work. • EBL (Ebook Library)

  ZSR Library's main source of academic e-books, covering a broad range of subjects. Books may be read online in any web browser. WFU user login required. Coverage: varies.

• eBooks on EBSCOhost

  Over 14,000 electronic books. (Previously called NetLibrary.) Coverage: varies.

• OneClick Digital Audiobooks

  Downloadable audio books, provided by NC LIVE. Titles are also linked individually from the ZSR Library Catalog. Note: Requires installation of the OneClickDigital Media Manager software (free download). This software is a Beta version and does not currently work on Mac computers; the publisher is still developing the Mac version. Coverage: varies.

• WorldCat

  The world's most comprehensive bibliography, with millions of bibliographic records representing 400 languages and covering information from 4,000 years of knowledge. Includes holdings information from the world's libraries. Coverage: 1200-.

• ZSR Library Catalog

  Data about the books, journals, films, manuscripts, and other materials owned by the ZSR Library. Coverage: 14th century-.

• Gale Virtual Reference Library

  Searchable full text of reference books in many subjects. Books can be searched together or individually. Coverage: varies.

• Oxford English Dictionary - OED

  Corresponds to the 2nd (1989) edition of the printed OED. The online version will be updated quarterly with new and revised definitions. Includes extensive coverage of word etymologies. This version is also searchable by the date that a word entered the English language. Coverage: 1989 Edition, with updates.

  The ARTstor Digital Library provides images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences, with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. Comprises contributions from outstanding international museums, photographers, libraries, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates. Images form ARTstor are for noncommercial educational or scholarly use only. Images may be used in educational or scholarly presentations, including printed handouts, but may not be otherwise distributed or publicly displayed.
