The Library Catalog Presentation
This presentation makes use of clickers throughout and introduces students to the catalog and call numbers. Once the presentation is complete, students would have time to begin their books assignment.
Citations Clicker Presentation
This presentation is designed to make use of an Audience Response System to demonstrate student’s ability to cite using MLA format. Use the attached PDF to give the students a “physical” work to cite and the following websites for online works:

Steps in the Research Process Card Activity
In this activity, the instructor distributes cards to groups in the class. Each group puts the steps of the research process in order. The instructor can choose to:
- Have a group discussion based on the cards
- Have each group share their order with one other group to make sure they say the same thing
Steps in the Research Process Lecture
This lecture will walk you through an entire class on the Research Process. This includes a class activity using cards to organize the steps in the research process and a lecture to discuss the content in more depth. The presentation concludes with a discussion of how to select a research topic. Remaining class time can be used to allow students to create a research topic.
Website Worksheet
This worksheet can be used as either homework or as an active learning exercise during class. It requests students answer basic questions about a specific website.
