Transcript
Publishing changes to your Wake Forest homepage using Dreamweaver. Begin in the Start Menu select All Programs, select internet tools, and click on Dreamweaver. When the program launches, look for the site management tool under files on the navigation pane on the right side of the screen. To maximize this window use the icon that looks like a white box with a blue border across the top. This will show the local files on the right and the server files on the left. The local files are stored in (C:\Userdata\HTML\www-home). If you do not see your remote files on the left use the refresh button at the top. If you still can not access \\acfiles\www-home/ make sure you are on a student wireless or on a wired connection. If you are having issues regarding your password you'll need to make sure that your login and password are reconciled for both logging into the Thinkpad and into email prior to being able to publish your wake forest website. Begin by taking the machine generated homepage that is created when you access your homepage for the first time and pull down that file to the local files on your hard drive. Getting any dependent files will get any images attached to the website. Open up the index from the hard drive make changes to that page. Save those changes. And again maximize the site management window to publish those pages. You will see that the day, date and time stamp will change based on when you last edited the page. This will also let you know that you have published the page to your web folder. To view the page, open a web browser and go to www.wfu.edu/~ and your login.
