Searching in Web of Science
Transcript
Hello, you're watching Searching in Web of Science. My name is Sarah Jeong, and I'll show you how to do it. Right now we're looking at Web of Science database's search screen. So let's enter some search terms. This is assuming we're writing a paper on prostate cancer and vitamin D. Then let's select Topic in the drop-down menu and make sure that only Science Citation Index is selected and click on Search. You can refine your search by limiting it to only articles. You can also refine it by subject by clicking on more options/values and and then you can refine it to articles only in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. So as you can see, there are 43 results. In order to find out if ZSR Library has this article in print format or electronic format, click on Full-Text Options. If the article is available electronically, then there will be a direct link to the full text. If the article is not in ZSR library, you can still access it by submitting an Interlibrary Loan request by clicking on ILL Request. Then all you need to do is login to request the article from another library. So that's how you search Web of Science Science Citation Index. If you have any questions, please ask a librarian. You can contact us at zsr.wfu.edu/ask.
