Hannah Reynolds, Wake Forest University Fellow

Tell us about what you do at ZSR Library?

I’m a part of the Fellows Program at Wake Forest, so I’ll be working on a variety of projects and events at ZSR Library, while also learning from mentors and leaders on campus with other recent graduates in this year’s Fellows cohort!

What is your favorite book/podcast/movie?

My favorite book is The Outsiders, and my favorite movie is Before Sunrise. I read The Outsiders for the first time in 7th grade, and immediately fell in love with the characters, as well as S.E. Hinton’s writing. I watched Before Sunrise more recently, and I love the way it depicts the experience of being abroad (I studied abroad at Casa Artom in Fall 2024)!

What is your favorite project you have worked on in your career?

I haven’t had a very long career yet, but one of my favorite projects I’ve ever worked on was writing a full-length play, and presenting a staged reading of the piece last December. “Roses Fading,” took me two years to write, and I had the opportunity to collaborate with several other theatre students and faculty to create the characters and make the storyline as meaningful as possible. “Roses Fading” received an Honorable Mention at the Region IV American College Theatre Festival, and I hope to someday see a full scale production of the play.

What is your favorite library story?

During my time as a student, my friends and I loved to make short films, and we shot a few scenes in ZSR! I think the most fun film I ever helped with was about two students fighting over a table during finals week. The actors had to fight without making noise since the library in the film was having “silent hours,” which was so funny, but we got some weird looks from people who were actually studying next to their table!

What is something we can’t know by looking at you?

I love music! I play guitar, ukulele, piano, and I also love to sing.
