The ZSR Library is sponsoring a third and final round of Presidential Trust grants to fund one-time special purchases and collection development projects. Grants are particularly useful for new faculty who work in areas of research that are new to this campus. Last year the library received 30 proposals and awarded over $110,000 in grants. The grants are funded by the Presidential Trust for Faculty Excellence. For more information on the grant process, contact your department’s library liaison. The deadline for grant proposals is February 16.

Also, funds still remain in the special Area Studies allocation that the Provost granted to purchase books and films on the following subjects:

• Latin America
• Africa
• Asia
• American ethnic studies
• Gay and lesbian studies
• Women’s and gender studies

Orders will be accepted as long as funds remain this fiscal year. Faculty from all departments may submit requests to Scott Adair.
