I really enjoy studying in the library. However, I would like to suggest to regulate the temperature in a better way. I share the same opinion with many of my fellow students that it is too cold in ZSR. I sometimes feel so uncomfortable that I leave to my residence hall study areas instead.

I regret that you have been uncomfortably cold while studying in the library. I wish that it were as simple as turning the heat up, but it isn’t. ZSR’s heating and cooling system is divided into large zones and for the most part, cannot be individually adjusted. We are working with Facilities to replace these major building systems over time, but there are few short-term fixes. I might suggest looking for a study spot in a different part of the library. One of the quirks of the building is that while one part is unnaturally cold, a corresponding part gets unusually warm, especially when there is a significant change in temperature outdoors. Wish I had a better answer for you!
