During the first week of September, the ZSR Library Lecture Series hosted two writers for book talks and signings. The first talk featured Charlie Lovett, author of The Bookman’s Tale, on September 4. On September 6, the library welcomed Deborah Harkness, author of A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.
Upcoming lectures:
- Stephen Boyd, J. Allen Easley Professor of Religion, will discuss North Carolina’s Moral Monday protests and his participation in them on Monday, October 21, at 3:30 p.m.
- Cheralyn Lambeth will speak on the topic of costume play, or “cosplay” for short on Monday, October 28, at 3 p.m.
- Anthony Atala, M.D., will present a lecture on his research in regenerative medicine and his work with 3-D printing technology on Monday, November 4, at 3:30 p.m.
- Christian Miller, Associate Professor of Philosophy, will present “Honesty, Cheating, and Character” on Wednesday, November 6, at 4 p.m.
- Finally, Leigh Ann Hallberg, Senior Lecturer in Art, will close the fall semester with the interactive “Eye Along the Edges” on Thursday, November 14, at 4 p.m.
