A new exhibit from Asolare Art Foundation is now in the cases at the ZSR Library entrance. Sally Billman studied photography 35 years after college.
My primary purpose in microphotography is to express beauty. The inspirations to photograph come solely from my relationships with people, animals, and nature. My art is a spontaneous outflow when the inspirations occur. I enjoy the science and art of capturing light onto an image. Utilizing the exposure and composition of the subject can create various effects. There is usually an inner stillness and serenity while photographing and at times, during heighten awareness, I experience and/or imagine the livingness of the subject. Unless intended, I keep the digital images realistic and only manipulate for color and exposure correction.
All the images in this exhibit are from Reynolda Village.
