We are delighted to announce that Steve Kelley, Head of Continuing Resources and Database Management at the Z. Smith Reynolds Library, has been elected President-Elect of Core: Leadership, Infrastructure, Futures, a Division of the American Library Association. His three-year term begins at the conclusion of the 2025 ALA Annual Conference and ends at the conclusion of the 2028 ALA Annual Conference. He will serve one year each as President-Elect, President and Immediate Past-President. Kelley is currently serving as a Past-Chair of the Metadata and Collections Section. This will not be the first time Steve has led a major library professional association. In 2013 he was elected to a three-year term as Vice President/President/Past President of NASIG. Steve is also a leader for ZSR and the University. Most recently he lead our strategic framework task force and has held leadership roles with Wake’s Faculty Senate and our AAUP chapter.
