We’re excited to share that the Z. Smith Reynolds Library will resume regular hours and full operations beginning Monday, August 18. This summer’s renovation projects were designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, and functionality; improving the overall library experience for students, faculty, staff, and the broader Wake Forest University community.
Renovation Highlights
- Complete renovation of select restrooms in the Reynolds Wing
- Renovation of the Writing Center
- Replacement of the Atrium roof and floor
- Replacement of the Reynolds Wing roof
What’s Back
- Access to the Building: The Library’s main entrance, East entrance (Smith’s CafĂ©), and West entrance (Parking Lot E) will reopen for use. The back entrance/loading dock will remain blocked off, please use the front entrance for deliveries.
- All Services Available: No need for mediated service points—materials, Course Reserves, and technology can be accessed directly.
- Restrooms Open: All public restrooms in the library are now fully operational.
- Regular Study Spaces: The entire building, including the 24/7 study area, is available for use.
- Printing, Workstations & Catalog Access: All locations are back to regular service.
- Library Tours & Shuttle Access: Tours have resumed, and shuttle drop-off at ZSR Library is once again available.
