  Botanical Bridges: A Reception at The Bridge

  This spring, Botanical Bridges: Observation and Invention brings student work from Life Drawing and Botany into The Bridge, Wake Forest’s central IT Service Desk. The exhibition features twenty pieces ranging from precise anatomical studies to imaginative interpretations, highlighting a semester‑long partnership between Life Drawing, Botany, and Information Systems. Installed on March 20, the works invite visitors to slow down, look closely, and consider the connections between scientific study and creative practice.

  Information Systems in partnership with Wake The Arts will host a campus reception to celebrate the students and the interdisciplinary collaboration behind the exhibition. Guests are invited to view the installation, meet members of the project team, and experience how scientific and artistic ways of seeing can be held in the same glance.

  Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. The exhibition will remain on view at The Bridge for the next year.
