Course Reserves Update

ExLibris Leganto logo

We continue to work on the migration to a new course reserve system, Leganto. The current plan is to go live to instructors on April 23rd. There will be training for ZSR folks next week on April 16th (in-person) and on April 17th (on Zoom). Everyone should have received a calendar invite for both trainings, but you need only attend one.

Presentations/Professional Development

March was a big month for presentations in Public Services!

  • On Monday March 11th, Will Ritter presented Nurturing Minds and Bodies: The Innovative Wellness Collection in Libraries at the LAUNC-CH conference.
  • On Friday March 23rd, Rodrigo Castro presented to the ZSR Board of Visitors. His presentation, Planning Library Services for a Changing Academic Landscape, focused on how the University’s Strategic Framework and the Library’s Strategic Aims can help address challenges facing academia.
  • On Saturday March 24th, Rodrigo participated as a panelist for the Wake Forest University’s School of Business’ DEAC for a Día. The discussion panel Rodrigo participated in, Exploring Cultural Identity Lunch Panel for the Latinx in the Boardroom, explored challenges and opportunities Latinx leaders face in today’s professional landscape.
  • Next up, Jemma Johnson and Maia Dickinson will present Making, Managing, and Marketing a Wellness Collection in an Academic Library and Will will present Cultivating a Holistic Wellness Collection: A Journey from Concept to Collaboration, both at the 2024 NC LIVE Annual Conference in late May.
