The ZSR Recognitions: Thank a Colleague! program provides an opportunity for employees to submit a note of thanks to their colleagues. These can be for going above and beyond, helping a job get done, general appreciation, or any reason thanks can be given. Here are those who were recognized since September. Thanks to all for being great ZSR colleagues!
Rodrigo was instrumental in getting our local WSFCS students access to free borrower card privileges. This was super helpful to our local Mt. Tabor High School AP Research students. Thank you Rodrigo!
Erin was at the Public Services desk when our first ever local high school students applied for their free library borrower cards. She was so friendly and made it look easy, even if it wasn’t! Thank you, Erin!
When a faculty member requested a flash drive demonstration during a one-shot, Barry came through in finding a flash drive I could use, plus an adapter! Thank you, Barry!
I was meeting a new Coordinator for Spanish & Italian at the Service Desk and forgot to see if there was a picture of her so I’d know who to watch for. Tara pulled one up for me at the desk and it worked! I knew exactly when the person I was waiting for walked in, making it much less awkward. Thanks, Tara!
Rebecca hosted a group from the Southeast Museums Conference (SEMC) as they toured our off site storage facility, thanks Rebecca!
Ty assisted Rebecca as she hosted a tour group at off site from the Southeast Museums Conference (SEMC), thanks Ty!
Needham Yancey Gulley, great-grandson of Needham Yancey Gulley (Class of 1879) and founder/dean (1895-1935) of the WF Law School, stopped by Special Collections to look at the Gulley papers. He is working on a historical project focusing on higher education. There was a cassette tape, containing remarks by N.Y. recorded in 1938, Barry converted it very quickly and I was able to provide access to Yancey. He was really pleased and it is now part of our digital collections. Thanks Barry!
ZSR’s involvement in HTB would not have run as smoothly as it did without Vernonia. Although, HTB is a huge team effort, and there were a lot of helping hands over the course of the day, there was one person who was there for all of it. From 7am to nearly 7pm, Veronica was the unsung hero that day!
Tim, helpful as ever, found for me a new extension card to replace the old ratty one I did have.He then crawled under my desk and hooked it up.I am very grateful !!
