On Friday, September 9th, the Z. Smith Reynolds Library hosted a screening of the film “Zombieland” (courtesy of SAF funds) from 7-8:30pm and then three games of Humans V. Zombies from 9-11pm! Thirty students attended the movie, and eighty students attended the first game of Humans V. Zombies. As usual, it was a team effort that made this such a great event! Susan Smith took some amazing photos of the event, Mary Beth Lock, managed the lockers, Ellen Makaravage staffed the movie screening, Chris Burris and Carolyn McCallum helped with staffing the entrance, Meghan Haenn joined us from Campus Life and Documentary Film student Andrew Austin shot video for a class project! Everyone pitched in and did whatever was needed to make the event run smoothly! Our fearless student leader was John Walsh who wrote the instructions for the event and got us all up to speed on the rules for Humans V. Zombies. Apparently this is a popular game that is also regularlyplayed in classroom building on campus, but ZSR provides a cool, exciting venue for the event. A good time was had by all and many of the students approached me after the event to shake my hand and thank us for hosting the event!
