This is Preservation Week. April 24-30 is designated by the American Library Association as Preservation Week. The idea of having Preservation Week is to call attention to the value and care for our cultural resources. Many institutions have crumbling collections with no plan or resources to care for them. The week gives everyone an opportunity to share their knowledge with others and call attention to the good work they are doing in their own institutions. This week also gives librarians and archivists a chance to connect with their community and discuss disaster recovery operations. At ZSR, a small display of preservation tools and repairs is mounted near our Circulation Desk. in honor of Preservation Week, check it out!

This is a fantastic display! Your preservation work and care for the collections are second only to your creativity.
