“Roses are red, violets are blue, We’ve got a book that’s just for you”
On February 14th, ZSR Library hosted a pop-up, Valentine’s Day-themed, Blind Date with a Book event! Our Blind Date with a book events are becoming increasingly popular and offer us a chance to promote leisure reading and pair our community readers with literary works that match their interests! From 10:00 am- 12:30 pm, approximately 90 books were paired up with interested readers!
Many thanks to the ZSR Librarians and staff members who donated books and helped prep books for the event during our wrapping meetings! Additional thanks to Dylan King, Hannah Goodwin, and Lindsay Moran, our amazing ZSR Ambassadors who helped staff the event on Valentine’s Day!

This was AWESOME! It was so much fun to see the student selecting books and the ZSR Ambassadors working the event and explaining it all to the students!
Wow, what a giveaway! Good work, everyone!
I love this event, and I especially love the enthusiasm with which students peruse the offerings…its like they really do care about what they are going to be reading next. Like a blind date, one needs to make good choices!
