“The Welcome Project” began when the people of the Z. Smith Reynolds Library began looking for ways to show all members of our community that they are welcome here. This collaboration has involved not only ZSR Library employees but also people from academic departments and centers across campus.
These translations of the word “Welcome” are our simple beginning. We will be adding more languages soon, and we are looking at other spaces in the ZSR Library to display more murals.
Additionally, we would like your input! Please use this form or email askzsr@wfu.edu if you would like to submit a language to be added to this project or have other ideas for how ZSR can welcome you to this Library!

I Jove this simple way to extend a Welcome to everyone, on campus and beyond! (And to jazz up our otherwise blank walls! ) Thanks Hu!
What a wonderful idea! ZSR staff are so great at coming up with innovative events and ways to make ZSR a place where people want to be and where they feel comfortable! Thank you!
The Hu-manator strikes again. Job well done.
I’ve smiled every time I’ve walked past the welcome wall this past week. I, too, feel welcomed back to campus!
Love this. Great idea!
Hu- this is an excellent way to start a semester and academic year. The ZSR’s added value to new and returning students and faculty remains constant.
Hu, this is cool. Great job!
Thanks for all the kind words! This was such a team effort! Thanks to everyone in ZSR and everyone in the academic departments who helped us confirm the translations and offered feedback as we planned this project!
