Have you ever caught yourself looking at the ZSR Employee Association Event Calendar Calendar, thinking, “Wait, is that for me?” Well, we’re here to clear things up! We’re excited to introduce the ZSR Employee Association Event Calendar, your go-to source for all events just for ZSR employees.

While the ZSR Library Event Tracker Calendar covers events happening in our library that are open to a broader audience, the ZSR Employee Association Event Calendar is all about us—focusing on employee-only gatherings, social opportunities, and a little fun!

First Up: Learn to Play Lotería on October 2nd

Join us on Wednesday, October 2nd, from Noon-1 pm in the ZSR staff lounge to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a fun and interactive game of Lotería! Veronica will teach everyone how to play this traditional Mexican game, which is similar to Bingo. Plus, she’ll be bringing a pot of her homemade pinto beans and some delicious tortillas (not homemade, but still pretty good) to share with everyone. Enjoy a little piece of Hispanic culture with your colleagues! Everyone is welcome.

October 23rd – Reynolda Gardens Brown Family Conservatory Tour (sponsored by the ZSR EDRC).

Join the Employee Development and Recognition Committee for a tour of the Reynolda Gardens Brown Family Conservatory on Wednesday, October 23rd at 2 pm. For those who want to walk over together, we will meet in front of the Service Desk at 1:45 pm. If walking/driving over independently meet in front of the Conservatory facing the formal gardens. Jon Roethling, director of Reynolda Gardens, will lead this tour of the Brown Family Conservatory. If you have questions, email Joy or Daisha for more information.

October 25th – Tech Bytes

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 25th, from 2-3 pm in the ZSR staff lounge. It’s time to take a byte out of your day and enjoy some tech talk and treats (on the house)! This month’s session is all about “How to keep your online accounts safe.” You’ll learn a few tips from our tech team, all while sipping on your favorite cuppa and snacking. It’s the perfect blend of knowledge and relaxation with your colleagues.
