The ZSR Recognitions: Thank a Colleague! program provides an opportunity for employees to submit a note of thanks to their colleagues. These can be for going above and beyond, helping a job get done, general appreciation, or any reason thanks can be given. Here are those who were recognized last month. Thanks to all for being great ZSR colleagues!
| Tim Mitchell | I spent most of one day trying and failing to get my printer to work. Frustrating! I asked Tim Mitchell to look at it. He walked into Preservation, and just by his wonderful presence, fixed the printer. Those are not skills you can measure or quantify! Thank you Tim! | Craig Fansler |
| Barry Davis | Thank you to Barry for all his help and assistance for the recent joint program between the Wake Forest Historical Museum and Special Collections & Archives. He assisted with the livestreaming here in ZSR and also drove over to the Museum to help them get set up for their livestreaming (and he even took them some chairs we needed delivered). Thanks Barry! | Tanya Zanish-Belcher |
| Rebecca May | Rebecca coordinated the recent ZSR trip to the Wake Forest Historical Museum and did a wonderful job! She worked closely with the WFHM staff on the schedule, arranged transportation, and organized lunch for the group. Everything ran smoothly, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit. ZSR truly appreciates her hard work and thoughtful planning in making the trip such a success. | zanisht@wfu.edu |
| Wake Forest Historical Museum Team: Sarah Solheim, Carolyn Rice, Carolyn Zulandt, Isabel Nowak, and Volunteers | The WFHM team hosted ZSR on March 6 and did a great job! They organized and led engaging tours, coordinated and picked up lunch, and served as valuable resources for everyone from ZSR who was interested in learning more about the Museum and the Town of Wake Forest. We truly appreciate their hospitality and all the effort they put into making the visit such a great experience. Thank you! | Tanya Zanish-Belcher |
| Rebecca May | Rebecca’s field trip planning to the OG Wake Forest campus was chef’s kiss, top tier…an S-tier event, if you will. It was so much fun meeting our new colleagues and getting to explore the museum and town of Wake Forest. Huge thanks as well to Dean Pressley for the funding support, Tanya for taking on WFHM and making the new addition an instant part of the ZSR fam, Carol and Sarah for the great tour, and everyone else who helped bring this together. Such a great day all around! | Veronica Escamilla-Brady |
| Will Ritter | When a Documentary Film student needed to check out some microfilm (they actually OWNED THEIR OWN MICROFILM READER!) Will made it possible, even though the microfilm was not barcoded! Thanks for giving this grad student a great experience in ZSR! | Hu Womack |
| Jeff Eller | Jeff got back to me lightening fast about a video a faculty member wanted student access to before the end of the semester. We have access to great resources and we rarely need to say “no” to faculty. However, I want to acknowledge that, although I’m the one the faculty member will thank for this, I’m not the one making the access happen – the acquisitions folks do. Thanks! | Colleen Foy |
| Linda Ziglar | Linda is so kind and helpful when I have GOBI or other acquisitions questions – like every single time. Linda provides the support necessary to make part of my liaison work so easy. Thank you! | Colleen Foy |
