Recently, the Professional Development Center at WFU asked the ZSR Library to lead a “ZSR 101” workshop for staff as part of the CORE program. We love to talk about ZSR and the great services we offer, so we jumped at the chance! For this first session, four members of ZSR collaborated on the outline, and we all four led portions of the workshop in order to prepare to individually lead future sessions. That turned out to be a good plan, because based on the popularity, we will offer more sessions in the future!
We talked about the mission of ZSR, the instruction and research services we offer, our collections and spaces, and some of our cool outreach programs like Humans v Zombies and the Dean’s List Gala! We even discussed the cool technology equipment available for check out from “The Bridge.”
You can see our entire presentation, including the “clicker” questions we asked to keep the session fun and interactive, posted on SlideShare below:
We look forward to working with the PDC to offer more sessions of “ZSR 101” in the future!

This was such an informative class, and you all facilitated it in such a fun way. I hope more folks will take the time to go!
