On Friday, January 17th, ZSR Library hosted our third annual CozyFest- an event centered on crafting, relaxation, and tea. We teamed up with an amazing cast of campus partners and student organizations, including World Tea Association, WakerSpace, Fiber Arts Club, Culturality, Awake Forest, ZSR Ambassadors, and ZSR Special Collections and Archives to provide an array of activities and experiences that are perfect for a winter evening.
This year, we were delighted to host approximately 160 students (our largest audience ever for this program)! Our attendees were treated to a s’mores bar, fresh popcorn and other snacks and World Tea Association kept everyone warm with their tea tastings and conversation. WakerSpace brought a 3D printer and provided a special ZSR tile coaster project. The Fiber Arts club provided space for fabric crafts and other special projects. Culturality led a coloring and sticker craft that was very popular, and the ZSR Ambassadors provided puzzles and lego sets for enthused builders. Awake Forest transformed one of the 4th floor classrooms into a beautiful and serene meditation space, and led guided meditations throughout the evening. Special Collections and Archives led an amazing pin-making activity based on the artistic designs of William Morris (and featured items from Special Collections to inspire crafters).
We asked CozyFest participants “What did you like most about this event?”
“[It] felt cozy not only because of what was offered and smiling people but also (what i liked most) because the setting should‘ve been stressful (the library) but was a lot of people cozily but not too close together kicking back.”
“The snack (popcorn & smores) options and tea from the World Tea Association Club. I also really liked the Fiber Arts Club activities!”
“I loved the variety of activities that there were at the event! The s’mores station in particular was very creative.”
“Tea and meditation and socks!”
“Wholesome and comfy vibes”
“ZSR Special Collections & Archives”
“Twas cozy”
We are so appreciative of all of our amazing campus partners, our student organizations, and all of the volunteers from ZSR Library & the ZSR Library Ambassadors who helped make this event a success! This sounds like so much fun! I am always so impressed by the creative ways that ZSR supports our students.
Congratulations on another successful Cozyfest! I am so glad to see this program continuing and expanding every year. If there ever was a need for Cozyfest, it was this year. Good timing! And good times!
