The ZSR Library Admin Team approved three summertime “Lunch and Learns” for Summer 2025, and while Chris Burris and I managed to arrange two of them for last summer (one at St. Philip’s and one at the Delta Arts Center) we asked to defer the third even to December! As we looked around for Winston-Salem holiday traditions, Chris and I realized that one of the most spectacular traditions happens right here in Wait Chapel! The annual WFU Moravian Lovefeast was this past Sunday, Dec 7th, and with the approval of the ZSR Admin Team, we were able to take a group to the event and grab a beverage at Smith’s Cafe before!
The Moravian Lovefeast is an ecumenical event bringing together people of all faiths (or none!) Everyone is welcome! There was holiday singing, coffee, and Moravian buns served, and of course, the candle lighting portion, which was just stunning as usual. (2024 Lovefeast Photostory!) If you haven’t been to the WFU Lovefeast in a few years, it’s time to return! The event has had a major “glow up” and is better than ever!
