A collection of diaries, notes, and other memorabilia related to the life and work of Ira W. Thomas, a 20th century preacher in North Carolina. His diaries depict his work beginning in 1872 until his death in 1922. The collection includes sermons, notes, and accounting records from this same period. The collection also includes newspaper clippings mentioning Smith's work as well as articles announcing his death.

Irving E. Carlyle was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (1917) who became a lawyer in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and trustee of Wake Forest College and Bowman Gray School of Medicine, later Wake Forest University School of Medicine. His papers contain personal, legal, and financial records, subject files, and other files relating to his service to Wake Forest University and Bowman Gray School of Medicine. The files contain extensive correspondence with leading politicial figures in North Carolina. Also included is information on the relocation of the College from Wake Forest, N.C., to the Winston-Salem campus.

This collection consists of 105 postcards containing correspondence between Bennett and his future wife, Ruby Jenrette (1897-1985). The postcards include images of Wake Forest College's original campus as well as other landmarks across North and South Carolina.
