Special Collections & Archives (ZSR Library) has continued expanding the University Timeline for the history of Wake Forest. Timeline entries are drawn from numerous historical sources with the hope of providing a unique window into the past.
Major timeline categories include athletics, departments and programs, diversity, “firsts”, international, student life, and traditions, among others, which are also searchable. The top hundred selected entries appear automatically, and users can easily download the remainder. In addition, the timeline is organized by date, also searchable, beginning in 1830.
The timeline is continually being added to and revised, so if you would like to submit an important event or individual from WFU’s past for consideration, please let us know at archives@wfu.edu.

The Timeline is a great resource for those inside and outside of Wake Forest and is exceptionally well designed.
I second what Craig said! What a great resource! I’ll be sharing this on social media with my fellow WFU alums!
Congratulations on adding these valuable updates to the Timeline–BC
Congratulations to all involved. I noticed and appreciated the honesty and transparency in some of the early entries. Well done, all.
