Join ZSR Special Collections and Archives, in partnership with Bookmarks, Winston-Salem’s independent bookstore and non-profit, where we will hear from Counseling Professor Sam Gladding, a prolific author of numerous books (including Becoming a Counselor: The Light, the Bright, and the Serious). Off the Courthouse Square is his latest work and he looks forward to sharing many humorous Wake Forest stories.
Professor Sam Gladding has a B.A. in history and an M.A. in counseling from Wake Forest University, a masters in religion from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in human development and family studies. Gladding has taught, researched and written about counseling for more than 30 years. He was named chair of the new counseling department in 2003.
