Thank you for the information and I look forward to attending the event.
I was surprised that the king chose to be styled Charles III. The first two of that name are not among Britain’s great monarchs. Charles I was tried and convicted of treason and was beheaded. His son and heir fled to France. When invited by Parliament to assume the throne, he not only chose his disgraced father’s name, but defied Parliament’s authority often. I expected the current king to choose to be styled George VII in honor of his much beloved grandfather.
Thank you for providing an opportunity to learn more about this monarchy prior to the coronation.
Looking forward to it!
Is there a possibility that this will be available online – either at the time of the lecture or available by a link afterwards? I’m very interested in the topic, but won’t be able to attend in person (I live in Jacksonville, Florida) But I would love to listen to the presentation.
Thank you! I like thinking about the future while keeping an eye on the past.

We had not planned to videotape the lecture, but we’ll look into whether it would be a possibility.
Thank you for this interesting and timely learning opportunity. Will appreciate any online option to listen to the presentation.
How interesting! Would love to join in online -is there a possibility of this? Thank you.
