Special Collections & Archives is excited to participate in two upcoming events this month by sharing curated pop-up exhibits.
At Soul Sessions, visitors will have the opportunity to explore selections from SCA’s African American/Black Arts Poetry Pamphlet Collection, highlighting powerful voices and creative expression from the Black Arts Movement and beyond.
For the Chris Paul event, SCA will feature book artist Sauda Mitchell’s Lebenslauf, an intricate and thought-provoking work that centers on Paul’s ancestor, Peter Oliver, and explores themes of lineage, memory, and history. Craig Fansler, Preservation Librarian, has also created special broadsides for the Paul family.
We look forward to sharing these unique materials and engaging with the community through these special events.
