Building Policies

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in the library. For more information see WFU’s Smoke Free Policy.

Dogs and Other Pets

For the safety and comfort of all who use the facility, only service animals, defined as those who are individually trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities, are allowed in the library building.

Food and Drink

Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the library. We ask that you clean up after yourself and please be considerate of those around you while you eat.

Recreational Personal Assistive Mobility Devices

The use of Personal Assistive Mobility Devices, (defined as scooters, bicycles, mopeds, roller skates, hoverboards, Segways, etc.) that are used for recreation are prohibited from use inside the library for the safety of all.

Cell Phones

Cell phone calls may be made in designated areas. These areas include all stairwells.

Guest Use

Guests of the library (meaning any library users who are not students, faculty, or staff of Wake Forest University) are welcome to use the library services and public spaces during the hours that the library is open except between 10PM and 7:30AM during the fall and spring semesters. In order to maximize the resources of the library for Wake Forest affiliates, guests – including those who have purchased guest library cards or are participants in the TALA program – may be requested to leave the library after 10PM. This restriction is more likely to be implemented toward the end of the semester when study space on campus is at a premium.

Quiet Zones

Levels 6, 7, & 8 are designated for silent study.
