Over the next few days those of us who are attending ALA Midwinter in Seattle will provide daily reports on our activities. Look for postings from Lynn, Sarah, Mary H., Lauren and me. Right now I’m sitting at Gate 48 at PTI waiting to board a plane to Dulles for the first leg of what will most likely be a long travel day. This is my first time attending Midwinter as I was just appointed to a committee in August. I am on the Instructional Technologies Committee, a sub group of the Instructional Section of ACRL. So that’s IT of the IS of the ACRL, too many acronyms for this early in the morning. I’ll report again later this evening once I really have something to tell you all! Time to board!

I know you have a full agenda, but I can’t wait to hear what you and the others think of The Seattle Public Library The photos of that place are amazing!

Have a great conference!
Seattle is the coffee capital of the world! Let us know how savory it really is-and enjoy the conference!
In answer to Giz’s comment on Seattle Public. Bill and I went there Friday afternoon and I HATED it! Sorry, it’s just too garish and ugly and minimalist. On the other hand, it was packed with Seattle-ites and I hear it is functional, but I much prefer Charlotte-Mecklinburg as a model of the new public library.
