Cash Collection consists of Cash's writings, including Mind of the South in typescript, articles, review clippings, business and personal correspondence of W.J. Cash and his wife Mary, photographs, and ephemera.

William Bailey Royall was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (1861), Commissary Sergeant in the 55th North Carolina Infantry Regiment, professor of Greek and bursar of Wake Forest College for sixty years, and a Baptist minister. His papers consist of biographical information, writings, photographs, subject files, and materials related to his time at Wake Forest College. The bulk of the collection consists of grade and attendance reports from Wake Forest College professors.

William Boling Dunn, Senior, was a Wake County, North Carolina native and planter. His papers consist of receipts for taxes owed to North Carolina and the Confederate government; store receipts; tuition receipts from Wake Forest College; two land indentures; a letter about the purchase of a cotton gin (1838); and papers relating to the purchase or hire of five enslaved people that he held captive.

William Crenshaw was one of the first Trustees of Wake Forest Institute and the Institution's first Treasurer. Crenshaw's son John M. Crenshaw was the first student enrolled at the Wake Forest Institute, 1834. Crenshaw purchased and held in captivity a large number of enslaved peoples in the mid-1800s for use of their stolen labor, knowledge, and skills on his land. This collection contains land sale contracts, the will of William Jones, a deed of guardianship and receipts of childcare, and bills of sale for enslaved peoples. Three facsimilie account books, dated 1834 to 1876, are also included.

W.E. Crocker and his wife Jessie Swann Crocker were Southern Baptist missionaries to China. The papers include biographical and genealogical information on the Crockers and their family; "A Mother's Mission" by Mrs. Crocker; correspondence with the Southern Baptist Convention Foreign Mission Board, 1893-1923; two letters and a report from Cread C. Marriott and his wife, Cora (Burns) Marriott, from Chinkiang, China, about the work of the mission, 1919-20; a photograph album containing photographs of scenery, workers, and individuals connected with the Chinkaing Mission, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Crocker, Mr. Crocker as a student at Wake Forest College, and with a classmate "Hubbard [Robert Clarenden Hubbard?] at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky.; and three loose photographs - two of junks on the river, and one of Pastor Chang and family who were converted and baptized by Rev. Crocker. There is also an obituary for Wesley Willingham Lawton, former missionary to China, 1942.

Boddie, Nashville, North Carolina, and mentions mutual acquaintances, a trustee resolution, and the boys' going to the store without the "old man" (Samuel Wait) finding them out.

This collection contains biographical information, correspondence with family members, and two diaries that very briefly record events: first in 1823, including a visit in Virginia with Thomas Jefferson, and then life in around 1859-1862.

William Kendall Dingledine was an ambulance driver in S.S.U. 516 during World War I. He was recruited from the University of Virginia and served in France 1917-1919 alongside the French Army, receiving a "croix de guerre". This collection includes recollections of the war written by Dingledine and Sergeant George F. Brasfield, along with other papers pertaining to his service and awards. His wartime scrapbook and a U.S. Army uniform are also included.
