Sophie Lanneau was a graduate of Meredith College, and a teacher and Southern Baptist Convention educational missionary to China, 1907 to 1951. She founded the Wei Ling Girls' Academy in Soochow (1911) and was interned by the Japanese in 1942. She was repatriated to the United States in 1943 but returned to China in 1946, where she remained until 1950. Her papers consist of biographical information; correspondence files; educational files; financial and legal documents; her writings and other literary productions; talks given; Chinese literary materials; literary productions of others; notebooks; pictorial materials; printed materials and certificates; her professional files; a scrapbook; and artifacts. These materials relate to her missionary and teaching career as founder of the Wei Ling Girl's Academy in Soochow [now Wusien], China.

Southeastern Regional Medical Center is a medical facility located in Lumberton, Robeson County, N.C. In December 2020, the medical center was renamed UNC Health Southeastern. The Department of Pastoral Care was started June 1, 1957, with the employment of Reverend Sam Bagby. This collection contains a history of the Pastoral Care department, written by Revered George Dean Carter in September 2004, and a booklet entitled , published in 1959.

Baptist Students Concerned (1968-1970) was a progressive student group formed by North Carolina Baptist Student Union members to attend the Southern Baptist Convention annual meetings 1968 through 1970 to address issues of racism, poverty, and war. Stuart Sprague, Ph.D. (1947- ) played a key role in the activities of Baptist Students Concerned, collected and created the documentary history of the group, and wrote and collected writings by others about the group's activities. This collection primarily documents the formation and activity of Baptist Students Concerned and the trajectory of the Southern Baptist Convention through correspondence, conference material, news reports and clippings, typescript and manuscript documents, and a photograph. There are also National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion records, including annual meeting programs and reports.
